Recipe for Raw Walnut Pâté

There are a lot of recipes for nut paté online.  I like this one because it uses delicious Omega3-rich (Brain Food) soaked walnuts (soak for 1-3 hours in water) that removes some of the toxins that are natural to raw nuts and allows the sprouting process to begin, which makes the nutrients in the nut more bioavailable and digestible.  Juggle the ingredients to suit you.

If you would like to have a hint of 'sweet', then you could add a little stevia or honey if you liked.  I'm using it as a dip for a bunch of discounted broccoli my husband brought home yesterday but it is also great on crackers and the like.  Enjoy!

Put the following in your blender or food processor:
Units: US | Metric
  • 2 cups Walnuts
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 2 Green Onions
  • 1 cup fresh Parsley
  • 1 tablespoon dry Oregano
  • 2 stalks Celery
  • 2 tablespoons Miso
  • 2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Pinch of Celtic Sea Salt
